Attention: Rent and Utility Bill Relief AvailableThe Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 included funding for states to establish emergency rental assistance programs (ERAP). Pennsylvania received approximately $569 million to administer assistance to renters, landlords, and utility providers who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic insecurity. More information about the program and its criteria can be found on the Department of Human Services (DHS) website. Both renters and landlords can apply to the program to cover upcoming and unpaid balances. Renters do not need their landlord’s consent to apply. |
